BLURB: The rings have been selected. The champagne placed on ice. The cake decorated.
And the pre-wedding sex is off the charts…
Lucas Vallois and Andrei Hadeon are finally ready to walk down the aisle. Thereâs just one small problem.
A ghost from Lucasâs past shows up days before the wedding, desperate for help. Against his better judgement, Lucas and his best friend, Ashton Frost, plan a fast trip back to the one place they swore theyâd never go: their hometown in Oklahoma. But the danger is worse than they expected.
Now, theyâre in a race to track down a killer, keep a young girl safe, and get Lucas back in time to say, âI do.â
REVIEW: WOW! What else can I say? When I heard that book 5 was about Lucas and Andrei’s wedding I couldn’t wait to read it. I knew that meant all the guys would be together again and wherever they were, trouble would not be far behind. Well that was an understatement. Lol! I enjoyed this book so much I didn’t want it to end. It easily earned a 5star rating from me. Lucas and Andrei’s love for each other is just as fierce and hot as it was when they first met and we see that from the beginning of this book, (lol) all the way to the end. We get my control freak Lucas with the arrogance of a billionaire, Ashton Snow Frost and his wicked sense of humor, sweet Ian (who’s high on wedding fumes). I died laughing at that comment, and Rowe with his devil may care attitude “the embodiment of chaos”. I want a Rowe in my life!
We get to know more about Lucas and Snow’s past. The unbearable childhood they each had to endure that later forged their friendship and brotherhood. We meet some of Lucas’ family members like Nicole and Taylor along with his despicable parents. My heart broke for the anguish so much intolerance had caused. We also meet some new members of Ward security Seth and Cole. We were briefly introduced to a friend of Taylor’s, by the name of Bran with pink hair. I can’t wait to get his story as I’m sure there is one.
Finally, you will love this page turner. It will have you crying at times and laughing out loud at others. The action ad suspense will have you on the edge of your seat and the sex will make you blush.
BLURB: Men found him attractive, interesting even. He was like a fascinating experiment gone wrong that men liked to investigate. Heâd get a date – or two, if he was lucky – but it wasnât long before Brianâs darkness showed, and the men were running from him.
Brian King was honorably discharged from the United States Navy five years ago. Heâd left with the highest honors a man can receive in his country, but heâd paid the ultimate price to earn them. He was considered one of the best; an Intelligence Officer in a Joint Special Operations Delta team thatâd been a twelve-man wrecking crew. Theyâd thought they were invincible⌠until they werenât. Brian was the only member that survived the ambush. He survived ten months of pain, of torture, only to emerge on the other side a warrior. A POW survivor. Heâd returned home with all his limbs, his right mind, and with his only brother Ford, at his side. But, one thing had been lost, maybe for good⌠his voice.
Now, being a bounty hunter is Brianâs only means to satisfy his need to calculate, track, and capture. His only outlet to the stress caused by his silence. He was good at what he did. But, all work and no play for a forty-four year old man was taking its toll. Brian wasnât a faulty experiment. He missed companionship, he missed communicating. So, when he met Sway Hamilton â in the most unconventional means â heâd been surprised at his special way of understanding Brianâs every look⌠and touch.
Sway grew up in the rough part of ATL, trailing behind his twin brother Stanton and his best friend, Dana. He and his brother had a bond only twins could understand. So when Stantonâs life was taken during their sophomore year in college, Sway didnât think heâd ever recover. He finally finished school, got his masters in nursing, worked hard, and focused on taking care of his mother. However, Sway knew there was more to life than heartache, and caring for others. There had to be. But he didnât know what any of those things were until he met a dark hunter that blew his mind⌠and the intense man had never uttered a single word.
Brian and Sway can feel the powerful connection between them. It was there from the startâbut both of them have battled with loss and anguish for so long, neither understand that love can ease all of it. Do they have the courage to battle through it together? Sway has to learn to trust in love, and Brian has to believe that Sway will always understand him even if he never speaks again.
Sway held him tight around his neck, âI donât need you to talk, Brian. I can hear you just fine,â Sway whispered softly, kissing his throat.
This novel is a part of a series but can be read as a standalone. No cliffhangers.
Trigger Warning: This story contains acts of bond recovery agent violence. Mention of war zones and descriptions of war prisoners. This story DOES NOT contain overly-described acts of torture.
REVIEW: As usual, this author has truly outdone herself. Just when I think her books couldnât get any more exciting, any more perfect, she surpasses everything and brings another amazing creation. So, this is the fourth book in this wonderful series and gives us Brian and Swayâs story. Brian is a big, sweet, tough teddy bear of a man. A gentle giant to Sway, his friends and family but to everyone else, a tough ex-Navy SEAL and highly skilled bounty hunter who can kick some serious ass. He was captured and tortured by terrorists which rendered Brian unable to speak. Brianâs PTSD is heartbreaking to read and the author was able to capture the daily struggles service-members face when they return home. She did it with respect and sensitivity. She didnât embellish, romanticize or glorify it. Also, I liked how she didnât give super descriptive details of the torture Brian endured while captured.
Sway is a hard working and dedicated nurse practitioner. He works hard to provide a good life for him and his mother. Sway is a good man, he takes care of everyone but himself.
These two men absolutely belong together. The author did an exceptional job of writing their emotional responses to each other. You felt that simmering, intense…thing between them; it leapt out at your from the pages. You not only read them falling for each other, you also feel their emotions; the sadness, the loneliness, the joy, the pain. Every emotion in this book was intense and it was written just so. To write a characterâs emotions to the point where itâs felt by the reader, I feel is not something thatâs easily accomplished yet this author does it all the time, in all of her creations. Thatâs how you know that you have an author who masters their craft. Itâs not an easy feat to accomplish yet she does it with ease. It was absolutely amazing.
I also love how her characters are more mature in age. These are gentlemen of a particular age and as a reader of the same age, I can really dig it. She shows that these men are still strong, sexy, and virile. Theyâre fabulous in their 40s and I am here for all of it!
This book, like all of her work is simply amazing. This author is truly a master of her craft. Her writing style, the way she uses her words is like an elegant work of art. Sheâs an artist who comes up with these beautiful creations which are her books.
BLURB: When private investigator, Shane Stephens, is hired by the mayor of Cincinnati to track down the hacker who has been threatening him, Shane is sure this is the opportunity to launch the Merleau Detection Agency into the big time. He even convinces Rowe Ward of Ward Security to loan him one of his best IT specialists, Quinn Lake.
Shane, a man who prefers casual intimacy, is surprised by his attraction to the moody computer geek, but when Quinn suggests they have fun for the month heâs on loan, Shane happily agrees. Both men are expecting nothing more than a good time.
But the investigation takes an unexpected turn and they quickly discover they are facing more than a hacker out to ruin the mayorâs re-election chances. And as they spend more time together, they realize their relationship may be a lot more than just a good time.
With only weeks until the election, Shane and Quinn race to gather the proof they need while dodging bullets and possiblyâŚfalling in love.
REVIEW: This is the second book in the fantastic spinoff from the Unbreakable Bonds series. A friend of my turned me on to these authors and I am so very glad that she did. These two authors are a dynamic duo; their characters, settings, storyline and plots are absolutely fabulous.
I became obsessed with their books starting with the Unbreakable Bonds series, the series that started it all. I was literally addicted with the first page of Shiver to the first page in this current book.
As with the rest of their series, their writing style is perfectly matched. There have been times when Iâve read books written by two authors and it didnât seem like a cohesive story. This is not the case with these authors. Their writing style and transition from one book to the other is seamless, almost as if itâs written by one person instead of two. The editing is spot on perfect, no plot holes, gaps in storyline, nothing. Itâs wonderful.
Quinn and Shane are great together. The chemistry these two men have leaps off the page. The recipe of mystery action and suspense, infused with just a touch of humor grabs and keeps your attention. You lose yourself into this world and the lives of these characters from the very first word to the very last. I absolutely adore these authorsâ work and I highly recommend this series. I am anxiously awaiting the next book.

Excerpt
After one quick knock on Roweâs door, he stepped inside without waiting for him to call since he was already expected. But he stopped short when he saw the tall man standing next to Roweâs desk, his hands on his slender hips as he grinned down at Rowe. Quinn couldnât stop his eyes from quickly sweeping over his broad shoulders and chest that tapered into a narrow waist. His eyes snapped back up to find a pair of brown eyes that twinkled as they finished checking him out as well.
âSorry,â Quinn mumbled, instantly taking a step backward. âI can come back.â Rowe rarely saw clients. He had customer representatives that handled talking to the clients. Of course, with Roweâs lack of a filter, it was better if he didnât talk to the new clients directly.
âNo, come in, Quinn,â Rowe said sharply. He stood behind his desk, drawing Quinnâs gaze to his shorter but broader frame. His dark red hair stood up slightly as if heâd been running his fingers through it. Quinn never took that as a particularly good sign.
With a quick jerk of his head, Quinn stepped in and shut the door behind him. The other man was smiling at him, that assessing look still in his eyes, and Quinn didnât want to think about the fact that he was dying to take another longer look at him, but not with the freaking boss in the room.
âQuinn Lake, this is Shane Stephens. Heâs a private investigator with The Merleau Detection Agency,â Rowe introduced.
Shane extended his hand to Quinn and Quinn clenched his teeth, trying to hide his discomfort at taking Shaneâs hand. His own palms were sweaty, making the momentary contact awkward. Why the fuck was he always so damn awkward around hot guys?
âRowe tells me youâre the best,â Shane said, releasing his hand.
Quinn couldnât help the skeptical look he shot at Rowe, who only shrugged as he sat down again. âWell, I said you <em>and</em> Gidget are the best.â
âIs this about a job?â
âSit, Quinn.â Rowe absently waved toward the two chairs in front of his desk. He shuffled some papers around without seeming to actually look at them, placing them in piles at the edge of his desk.
Shooting one last uncertain look at Shane, Quinn moved to the farthest chair and sat, his tablet clenched in both hands. His mind raced as he tried to figure out why heâd been called into this meeting. Clients didnât meet with Rowe, and Quinn didnât meet with clients unless theyâd already been assigned a bodyguard. And while theyâd worked with some private investigators in the past, Rowe wasnât usually involved. He had a company to run.
âShane recently acquired a client who is the victim of a hacker,â Rowe started.
Quinn looked up at Shane, who was still standing beside Roweâs desk, his mind finally turning away from too many questions to a problem he could understand. âIdentity theft? Bank accounts drained?â
âNo, not yet.â Shane shook his head, some of his dark curly hair falling forward against his temple. âAt least, not that weâve uncovered.â
âThen how do you know this client was hacked?â
âThere are other signsâŚbut I canât go into it.â
Quinn frowned for a second. That certainly wasnât going to make his job easier. âWell, do you just need improved protection? Alerts on accounts? Weâve got a comprehensive list of things we can do to help shore up the clientâs account protection and privacy.â
âShane isnât looking for protection from the hacker for the client.â Rowe paused until Quinn looked back at him. âHis client has hired him to track down the identity of the hacker.â
âWhoaâŚâ Quinn said on an exhale, sitting back in his chair. ThatâŚthat was not an easy task. Most hackers were pretty damn good at not being found. You had to be if you wanted to survive as one. If you sucked, you were usually snagged by the FBI pretty damn fast. Quinn would know. Heâd started hacking at a young ageânot stealing other peopleâs money but just breaking through security systems because he could. It took the feds a solid five years to catch him. But his boss knew all this. Rowe knew everything about the people working for him.
âWeâre not equipped to handle this level ofâŚâ Shane frowned at Roweâs computer as if he blamed it for his problems. âWell, weâre not staffed yet to handle computer things like this. I can do some of the forensic research in accounting matters, but I need a computer genius like you.â
âThatâs why I agreed to loan you to Shane and his business partner, Ethan, for one month,â Rowe announced.
Quinn was out of his seat in a shot, hovering over the edge of the desk as he looked down at his boss. Pain shot through his chest, and he was suddenly having trouble catching his breath. Panic clouded all of his thoughts. He loved working for Ward Security. Heâd been there for just less than two years, and heâd never found another place where heâd felt like he fit so damn perfectly. This was home. These people he worked with, they were his friends. He didnât have to hide or pretend or feel uncomfortable.
And RoweâŚRowe had always been amazing. Sure, he could be cranky and a little crazy. He was always loud and tended to speak before thinking. But Quinn always knew exactly where he stood with Rowe. He always felt like Rowe had his back.
But thisâŚ
âAre you getting rid of me?â
âWhat?â Rowe snapped. âWhere the fuck did you get that idea?â
âYouâre hiring another IT person. I saw the listing. And this? Putting me âon loanâ?â
Rowe groaned and scrubbed a hand over his face. With a heavy sigh, he pointed back at the chair Quinn had just vacated. âSit.â Grudgingly, Quinn followed direction while Rowe looked over at Shane. âCan you give us a minute?â
Jocelynn Drake and Rinda Elliott have teamed up to combine their evil genius to create intense gay romantic suspense stories that have car chases, shoot outs, explosions, scorching hot love scenes, and tender, tear-jerking moments. Their first joint books are in the Unbreakable Bonds series.
Hatchet has a thing for the enigmatic Mr Smith, Horatio Trapâs spokesman. Heâd love to get his hands on the pretty man and show him how good it feels to take orders for once rather than hand them out. Heâs had his eye on Smith for years and heâs running out of patience.
The Wyvernsâ involvement in the drug trade is limited to stealing money from the cartels, they donât want junk peddled on their turf. When Trap orders them to destroy a crack cocaine factory in Phoenix, they are happy to oblige. But Smith throws a spanner in the works by posing as a potential buyer, putting himself in mortal danger.
Hatchet and The Wyverns come up with a plan to fake Smithâs death, muscle in on the deal and convince the cartel to do business with them instead. But when Hatchetâs cover is blown heâs left to save a bunch of illegals, destroy the drugs and wipe the factory from the face of the planet. Itâs all in a nightâs work for The Wyvernsâbut there are still secrets to uncover and the mysterious Horatio Trap, and his mind games, canât stay hidden forever.
REVIEW: Oh, my! Iâve been waiting for this installment of this series feels like forever. I know thatâs not the case; I was just anxious. Well, the author certainly didnât disappoint me. This in addition to Adrian and Teddyâs story, are my favorites in the series.
Hatchet and Mr. Smith are as different as night and day but you know they say that opposites attract. Mr. Smith aka Montgomery Smith, is indeed enigmatic but underneath that cool, collected and cultured façade is a man that is attracted to Hatchetâs rough exterior. Monty (yes, I gave Smithâs character my own nickname) is kind of tired of being lonely and acting as the go-between the Wyverns and the mysterious Mr. Trap.
Hatchet and Monty seems like an unlikely couple at first but it works. The action, the dialogue, characters and storyline of this book, of all of the books in this series is absolutely fantastic. The books are short (under 100 pages) but it reads like a full length novel. There are no plot holes or cliff hangers in any of these stories which I really love.
There are a couple of plot twists in this book. Secrets you will not see coming as it pertains to the mysterious Mr. Trap and Monty are finally revealed.
I truly enjoyed this book and really looking forward to reading more. Iâm waiting for Artie and Bull to have their HEA.
Please note: The general release date is October 17, 2017. However, you can pre-order from Pride Publishing or Amazon.

Tobey has to face Hunter if he goes back to Kiss of Leather and Hunter has to figure out what he really wants from life and love. It takes a charity slave auction to show them what they’ve both been too stubborn to
see.
REVIEW: This great book is the 7th entry in Morticia Knight’s sensuous and sexy series Kiss of Leather. The ongoing drama and danger of Corey’s kidnapping comes to a completely unexpected ending that caught me by complete surprise. I really enjoyed seeing the whole gang make an appearance in this story, getting a quick glimpse into how each of the couples are doing. Tobey is a real sweetheart, but tends to be impulsive, running whenever he gets hurt. Ah Hunter!! He’s one of those silent loner alphas who make me want to scream with frustration!! He knows what he wants but it almost takes an act of Congress (pardon the pun) and someone lighting a fire underneath him to get him to go after it. Reading this series has been a fantastic
journey, and I would definitely recommend starting from the beginning.
BLURB: A bounty hunterâs partners to loversâ story. The hunt is on⌠and heâs the prey.
Bradford (Ford) King was sure he had the rest of his life mapped out. Though he was no longer a SEAL Lieutenant, his brother was home safe and he had a job that still allowed him to satisfy his hunger for hunting bad guys. Life was simple, no distractions or complications â at age forty-six â thatâs all Ford wanted. What he didnât want was his work partner, sniper/watchman, Dana, giving him s**t all the time.
Dana Cadby had grown up labeled a roughneck from the wrong side of the tracks. Heâd fought, scrounged, and survived despite a father that constantly told him he couldnât. Dana pulled himself up by his own boot straps and made a name for himself in the marksman community. Heâd been Dukeâs bounty watchman for five years. It was his job to ensure their safety, watch their backs. At thirty-three, he was trusted, well respected by his peers, his bosses, his friends⌠so why couldnât he earn the same respect from his partner?
Dana knew he was bisexual before he graduated high school. He also knew he was attracted to the huge, 6â3â, SEAL from the moment he and his brother came to join their team. It wasnât easy for him to tamp down his immediate reaction to Fordâs thick muscles, full beard, and dark eyes. Still, Dana exhibited nothing but professionalism towards him, not wanting to make his âstraightâ partner uncomfortable. So why did Ford constantly give him hell?
After Dana took back his ex-girlfriend, heâd noticed an intensification in Fordâs bad attitude. One that turned aggressive and downright antagonistic, and Dana was damned if heâd just lay down and take it. He was gonna make that man respect him if it was the last thing he did.
When Duke sends Dana and Ford out to track down their most dangerous bounty yet, they both embrace the fact that they make one hell of a team⌠but they fight tooth and nail against the powerful intimacy brewing between them.
Beware: If Ford and Dana connect completely, god help the fugitive whoâs in the sights of the hunter and his watchman.
This story is a part of a series but can stand alone. It does not end on a cliffhanger and has a HEA.
REVIEW: This is the third book in this fantastic series by this author. And when I tell you that it’s amazing, I mean it. This book continues with Dana and Fordâs story. This story, as with all this author’s work was such a pleasure to read. It was also a pleasant surprise because I wasn’t expecting this pairing.
Dana is the youngest on the team and in my opinion, the most vulnerable, emotionally speaking of course. I loved Danaâs character. His personality was an interesting juxtaposition of vulnerability and strength. He was shy yetâŚnot. He was confident yet insecure.
Ford was a gruff and tough former Navy Seal. He’s loyal and fiercely protective of his younger brother. He’s also stubborn. Well, both men are stubborn. So much so that I wanted to reach in and Gibbs smack both of them at the backs of their heads to knock some sense into both of them. I especially wanted to snap Danaâs girlfriend like a twig. The ole bony, salad eating wench that she was.
You know a book is good when the characters make you yell at your reading device. I was yelling at, smacking and positively howling at my iPad, these characters are just that vivid.
I love her writing style. You’re not going to get any pretty lavender words or flowery dialogue from the men in her books. I also love the fact that her characters are men of a particular age and everyday working men. What I also appreciate is the fact that she’s not afraid to use the word bisexual. These men are BISEXUAL. Not ‘gay for you’, ‘out for you’ or any of the other tropes that erases the bisexual identity.
I can’t express how excellent this book is. I equate reading this author’s work to mama cooking in the kitchen and when she’s finished, you end up with the most delicious meal. Yes, she has truly put her foot in the pot with this book.
This book, heck, this series is definitely highly recommended.
BLURB: A man without scars never had to fight for something he believed in.
A new relationship takes time and effort. A new relationship with Orlando de la Pena takes a whole lot more. As a Dom, Rogue knows what he wants, but Orlando refuses to fit neatly into the box labeled âsubmissiveâ. Heâs feisty, demanding and far too pretty for his own good.
Orlando loves Rogue and heâs learning to love The Wyverns, but he hates being stuck out in the desert. Finding a niche in the world of bikes and fierce warriors is difficult, and Orlandoâs impatience gets the better of him. He walks out into the desert and runs in to an antisocial diamondback.
Rogue has more than one problem to deal with. The Longhorns MC issues a challenge for territory. The Bellazi cartel is out for Wyvern blood. The Wyverns are under siege, and Rogue has to work out how to save not just Orlando, but all of them.
Reader Advisory: This books contains scenes of mild BDSM.
REVIEW: Death Trap is the second book in this series which is a continuation of Rogue and Orlandoâs story. Orlando and Rogueâs D/s relationship has grown deeper. They both realized that their feelings went beyond sex. Life at the Wyvern compound is nice but not as exciting as Orlando is used to. He hates being confined and decides to take off on an adventure that didn’t go as well as he had planned. Rogue is dealing with territorial dispute with a rival gang when he realizes that Orlando is missing.
I really enjoyed this book and so far, this series. The stories are short (less than 100 pages) but the characters and storylines are developed and don’t at all feel rushed or incomplete. I am loving this rough and tumble group of men.
In a matter of days, Dex has been kidnapped, tortured, killed, revived, become half Therian, offered the chance to become a spy, and accepted a proposal to marry his jaguar Therian boyfriend, Sloane Brodie. Itâs been a lot to take in, and although Dex is still trying to wrap his head around everything thatâs happened, he knows he has to move forward.
After the events of Smoke & Mirrors, Dex and Sloane find themselves in one of the most frightening situations of all: revealing the truth to their Destructive Delta family. When the dust settles, nothing will ever be the same, and itâs up to Dex to prove that in the face of change, the one thing that will always remain the same is family.
REVIEW: This novella I felt was a fantastic little story to sustain us until the next full length book featuring Seb and Hudson is released. This book places the reader to the point where Dex and Sloane reveal Dexâs secret and their future plans. It was bittersweet. It’s was in many ways a goodbye to the team as they know it but a move forward for them as well. I am definitely looking forward to reading more about their (Dex and Sloane) adventures but I feel that with that advancement in their careers the stories can and will now concentrate on the rest of Destructive Deltaâs team members and other teams. As with the other books in this series, this is extremely well written. Her characters are vivid, the storylines are superb and the dialogue will have you laughing out loud one second and on the verge of tears the next. This series and these characters are utterly fascinating and fantastic and I absolutely love reading them. I can’t wait until the next full length book. I am really looking forward to seeing what adventures the other teams and team members will take us on. This author and this series is a definite must read. The novella is short but will leave you full and satisfied.
BLURB: Chuck isn’t sure what he needs and Master Jordan canât wait to show him.
Stoneâs shy junior investigator, Chuck, can no longer deny his interest in the BDSM lifestyle. The beautiful connections and raw emotions heâs witnessed between so many of the Doms and subs at Kiss of Leather, leave him yearning for something heâd never dared hope he could have: unconditional love and care from a man. He isnât sure if he can take the chance of having a real relationship when heâs not out to his meddling parents yet, but the sexy Master Jordan, Gavinâs friend and the owner of Club Consequence, makes him want to take that chance.
Master Jordan has been biding his time until he can get next to the super-fine Chuck. Gavin warned him that Chuck wasnât in the lifestyle, but thereâs something special about him that Jordan canât deny. When theyâre finally alone, the chemistry is off the charts and Jordan can tell it wonât take much to bring Chuck willingly into the world of BDSM.
An unexpected development in the case of Coreyâs kidnappers shocks them all, but not as much as what happens with Chuckâs family. Jordan teaches Chuck that secrets hold power over the person keeping them, and that gaining trust can only be achieved through complete honesty.
REVIEW: This is the 5th book in this series and one that I was looking forward to. This story features Stoneâs assistant, Chuck, and Gavinâs friend, Jordan, the owner of another BSDM club, Club Consequence.
I was intrigued from the moment these two were mentioned and featured briefly in the previous books so I was very pleased to see that the author has decided to give them their own story.
As with all of her characters, the ones in this series are very well written. Knightâs attention to detail in her work is meticulous. She has a great talent for maintaining her characters and their storylines. The transitions from one book in her series to the next are always smooth without any breaks or holes in the plots.
Her depictions of the subs and their Doms are awesome. The subs aren’t simpering, child-like, effeminate twinks. There’s nothing wrong with a man being effeminate or a twink but I absolutely detest when simpering and child- like is thrown in. She strikes the perfect balance between these men being strong and independent but are strong and confident enough to submit to their Doms.
I loved Jordan and Chuckâs characters. Chuckâs character was shy and sweet, strong and fierce and due to his upbringing, a little âbuttoned upâ. He was introduced to the BSDM lifestyle because of the case he and Stone are investigating but he’s drawn to it because of the deep love and respect that he observes between the men he’s befriended. He meets Jordan while working undercover at Jordanâs club. I also loved how Chuck didn’t allow the stench of his family’s bigotry to touch him. He’s a loving and kind gentlemen that treats people with respect. He also had a lot of backbone. This is what fascinated me about him. He was shy and sweet but also very tough. I love how the author wrote him breaking away from his family. She did it with little fanfare and didn’t dwell on it afterwards. She understood that everything else took a back seat to Chuck and Jordan’s budding romantic relationship.
I also adore the way Jordanâs character was written. Now that I think about it, I appreciate how this author portrays her characters of color in ALL of her stories. As a reader of color, I can honestly say that Knight has done a wonderful job of this. There have been quite a few authors in the MM genre, on many occasions, who had been dragged for filth by readers in general, readers of color specifically over their ridiculous and often times insidious stereotyping of their characters of color. Some on more than one occasion. I’ve never encountered that problem with any of this author’s work. The skin color of a particular character is only used to describe physical appearances. Again, as a reader of color who likes to read LGBT themes books, I really appreciate this.
As I was saying before, Jordan’s character was also well written. He was a Dom but his style was a little different than the others. His was a gentler approach. This didn’t make him any less of a Dom but I think that he adjusted his approach a bit for Chuck because he knew that Chuck was new to the lifestyle as he didn’t want to scare him off.
The storylines, character development and plots are wonderful and engaging. The books aren’t too long but just long enough to satisfy you. There are no unnecessary cliff hangers that leave you hanging either. This book, this series is definitely well worth the time to get in to.
